Caribbean island culture meets Scandinavian architecture
This luxurious beachfront resort is located in the charming tourist area of Freeport, Bahamas. The Ritz Beach Resort is on Grand Bahamas’ southern shore with a range of beautiful white sandy beaches. The resort features 80 accommodation units from standard rooms to Penthouse Villas. The units themselves are adorned with marble tiled floors, glass tile bathrooms, private pools on the balconies – all with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The resort also holds an impressive water park with lazy river pools and a unique cave-like svim-up bar.
The concept for the project was Caribbean island culture meets Scandinavian architecture. This is clearly featured in the buildings that are inspired by West Indian colonial style but has the red tile roofs that are so typical of Scandinavia.A lot of research of the Bahamian islands and the local environment went prior to the planning of this project making sure it would be both respectful to the native culture and also speak to tourist from around the world.

The Ritz Beach Resort er et luksuriøst ferieresort placeret på sydkysten af Grand Bahamas, tæt på det charmerende turistområde i Freeport med hvide sandstrande og turkisblåt vand. Resortet består af 80 boligenheder spændende fra standardværelser til Penthouse-villaer. Alle enhederne er indrettet med marmorgulve, glasmurstens badeværelser og private jacuzzis på balkonerne, der alle har den skønneste udsigt over Atlanterhavet. Til resortet er et imponerende vandland med flere pools, rutsjebaner, boblebade og en svim-up bar i et grottemiljø.
Caribisk ø-kultur møder skandinavisk arkitektur var konceptet bag projektet, som tydeligt ses i bygningernes vestindiske kolonistil mikset med skandinaviske røde tegltage. Meget research om kulturen og naturen på Bahamas og lokalsamfundet gik forud for planlægningen af dette projekt og sikrede et resort med både respekt for den lokale kultur, men også appeal til turister fra hele verden.
