Vestjysk Bank

A monolith in the making

Just like a monolith the building of Vestjysk Bank rises from the stone ground, adapted to the environment but also shaped to suit the needs and use of the bank. Sails inspire the shapes and mainly the sharp angles and corners of the architecture and the windows, especially the surf sails that is a well-recognised sight on the waters surrounding Hvide Sande. The shapes and corners of the building are also functionally used for an ATM machine and frame a roof terrace for employees. The maritime touch of the architecture is furthermore homage to the majority of the clientele, which comes from the fishing industry.
